What clarinet brand do you like best and where is a good place to buy one? I've been playing for a while but only on a school instrument
My bass clarinet is a Yamaha and my sopranos are Buffet and Bundy. I’ve played a few Buffets before eventually just caved and getting an R13, you could try a Sam Ashe or Music and Arts, anywhere that you can play before you buy. Try them, write down what was different about them after you play them. Come back after a while and try them again, then decide what you want. My Bundy is perfectly fine for marching but it’s nowhere near my R13. It depends on your price range, what you need, and the way you play. The only reason I got an R13 is because it’s my college instrument. The E11 was also very nice when I tested it out.
